School of Chemical Engineering and Technology Holds the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 International Class

On Sept.26, 2015, the opening ceremony of the 2015 International Class of School of Chemical Engineering and Technology is held in Beiyang District, Tianjin University. The director of Division of International Students Affairs of Chinese Scholarship Council, Yanguang Li, the assistant principle of Tianjin University, Wenping Hu, the dean of International Education College, Zhihua Chen, the party secretary, Qiang Li, the associate dean, Xiuping Du, the dean of School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Xinbin Ma, the associate dean, Shuqian Xia, Wei Qi, and the deputy party secretary, Yi Xue attend the opening ceremony as well as the staff from departments concerned of International Education College and School of Chemical Engineering and Technology.

With the support of China Scholarship Council and School of International Education Tianjin University, our school gets the permission to recruit international students and set up master degree delivered in English. And it’s the first time for us to receive the foreign students with scholarship offered by Chinses Government as well as Ministry of Commerce on a large scale. Using the self-funding, our school sets up scholarships and grants especially for foreign students and admits foreign undergraduate students independently. The students of 2015-internatinal class are from Europe, North America, Asia, as well as Africa with a total number up to 40. 2 PhD students, 13 postgraduate students, 21 undergraduate students and 1 senior visiting student have registered up to now which has reached a new record.
