TJU Discipline tops Shanghai Ranking

Recently, Shanghai Ranking Company officially released “Ranking of the Best Disciplines in China”.  91 first-level disciplines are included and all together there are  4756 disciplines in 453 universities on the list.

 

In view of Chemical Engineering and Technology discipline, Tianjin University topped the list with East China University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University following behind. The rest of the top 10 include  Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Tsinghua University, Nanjing Technology University, Dalian University of Technology, South China University of University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and Harbin Institute of Technology.
It is reported that as a National specialty and a discipline joining the Outstanding Engineer Training Program fostered by the Ministry of Education, the Chemical Engineering and Technology discipline in Tianjin University is the only one in China and the second one in Asia that has been accredited by IChemE as the Master-level. It has the right to confer Master’s, Doctoral and Post-doctor’s degrees and provides an all-round talent cultivation system.
