Research interests

Synthetic Biology and metabolic engineering — fundamentals and applications in biochemical/pharmaceutical industries:

(1) Environmental and energy biotechnology: microbial electrosynthesis, microbial/multi-enzymatic biofuel cells, and synthetic microbial consortia.

(2) Pharmaceuticals biosynthesis via genetically engineered cells, and multienzymatic cascades for asymmetric biocatalysis, and synthetic gene circuits.
