My research interests focus on the efficient utilization of syngas, with particular emphasis on conversion of syngas to oxygenated compounds, such as ethylene glycol, ethanol, and organic carbonates. I have been involved in studies from catalysts rational design to industrial scale-up with understanding of catalytic mechanism, catalyst structure-performance relationship, reaction kinetics, and transport process.
I have published more than 200 papers in esteemed journals including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nature Communications, AIChE Journal. I have also been granted 20 Chinese patents and 3 international patents.
