Tianjin Engineering Research Center of Functional Fine Chemicals

The Tianjin Engineering Research Center of Functional Fine Chemicals (FFCRC) is a research institution dedicated to investigating the diverse functional fine chemicals such as organic semi-conductive materials, energy materials, special additives, dyes and pigments, et al. The FFCRC consist of six research groups including Organic photoelectric Materials, Energy Materials, Phase-change Energy Storage Materials, Special Additives, Pharmaceuticals, Nano-material, which includes 9 Professor, 6 Associate Professor, 1Assistant Professor, 1 Senior Engineer and typically ~150 graduate students.

The mission of the FFCRC is to conduct use-inspired research on functional fine chemicals with new methods and techniques, which will develop the next generation of fine chemical products and advance related scientific enterprise. Our mission has three primary objectives:

1. To provide cutting-edge research needed to meet the national goals of development of fine chemicals.

2. To provide outstanding graduates, trained in fine chemicals fine chemicals science and technology, to meet the important needs of the national and worldwide fine chemicals industry, government as well as academia.

3. To provide technically faculties who can serve as a resource for information on fine chemicals.

Since established in 2011, the FFCRC has obtained research funding of ~30 million. The FFCRC has gained and applied for 18 and 55 patents respectively. 160 papers and 4 books have been published. The FFCRC has provided vital services to 21 enterprises. The center also offers instrumentation, professional guidance, and technical support to researchers in the areas of fine chemicals analysis (NMR, MS, XRD, TEM, SEM, AFM et al).
