Key Laboratory for Green Chemical Technology of Ministry of Education

Key Laboratory for Green Chemical Technology of Ministry of Education was established on the basis of Chemical Technology in Tianjin University. There are 45 permanent staff in the laboratory and three main research areas: C1 chemical, green synthesis of new materials, and biomass energy. To be more specific, the researches are focused on the green chemical process to synthesize basic organic chemicals based on natural gas or syngas, green synthesis of new materials related to aerospace, membrane separation and environmental catalysis, the optimization and integration of biomass chemical processing and biomass fuel preparation.

Within recent five years,Key Laboratory for Green Chemical Technology of Ministry of Education undertook 257 research projects, including the key national projects, the national 973 and 863 program, key industry-academy-research projects. It also published 533 international journalsindexed by SCI, such as JACS, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、AIChE J.The labhas been already authorized 134 Chinese invention patents and was awarded two Second National Science-Technology Progress Prize, one Golden Award of Chinese Patent.

From the establishment, the laboratory has already held a series of international and domestic academic conferences, which greatly improved the academic influences of the lab at home and abroad.
