The 2018 AIChE Overseas Exchange Conference at Tianjin University

During the 2018 annual meeting of the American Society of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Overseas Exchange Conference and Alumni Meeting of Tianjin University organized by the School of Chemical Engineering was held at the Westin Pittsburgh Hotel on the evening of October 29th, US Eastern Time. Professor Qiao Jianjun, deputy dean of the School of Chemical Engineering, Yang Hong, and the director of the office, some key teachers and student representatives attended the meeting. The attendees of the conference were also friends from overseas universities attending the AICHE annual meeting and nearly 300 alumni from around the world. 

At the exchange conference, the School of Chemical Engineering introduced the development of Tianjin University and its chemical engineering discipline in recent years by broadcasting promotional videos and establishing overseas alumni WeChat groups, and also introduced the talent introduction policy of our university to outstanding overseas talents. Friends and alumni from different fields gathered together with the teachers and students of the college to carry out active and extensive idea exchanges. They highly recognized and appreciated the quality of students in the chemical engineering discipline of Tianjin University and showed great interest in the introduction of talents in the school. The alumni at the conference sincerely thanked Tianjin University for the construction of a high-quality communication platform and the efforts paid during the conference. It was hoped that this seminar would be held regularly to increase the communication between alumni from all over the world and to understand the development of Tianjin University. 

AIChE annual meeting is one of the most influential academic conferences in the global chemical engineering industry. With the influence of the annual meeting, since 2010, the School of Chemical Engineering of Tianjin University has successfully held overseas exchange meetings in the United States. This meeting further encourages international communication and cooperation. It also plays an important role in attracting outstanding overseas talents, and promoting the international visibility and influence of the School of Chemical Engineering of Tianjin University.
