Tianjin Key Laboratory of Applied Catalysis Science and Technology

The research fields of Tianjin Key Laboratory of Applied Catalysis Science and Technology include solid catalyst and reaction engineering, catalysis of rare earth and transition metal elements, design of industrial catalysts, energy and environmental catalytic process and new catalytic materials. The laboratory has 18 professional researchers, including 10 professors and 6 associate professors. The laboratory possesses more than 100 advanced instruments and equipments. Significant progresses are made in the research of solid oxide fuel cells, photocatalytic water splitting, catalytic decomposition of lignin and nano bimetallic catalyst. In the past three years, the laboratory has published 229 scientific papers, filed 45 patents, and educated 48 doctoral students and 89 master students. The laboratory has developed close international cooperative relationships with many research institutions, including the University of Michigan, Arizona State University, École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, the University of Waterloo in Canada and so on.
